A contract Occupational Therapist opportunity is available at an elementary school in Aurora, IL, from March 30, 2026, through June 5, 2026. This role focuses on supporting students fine motor and sensory processing development within a structured school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the fine motor and sensory processing needs of 42-50 elementary school students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique goals.
- Collect and analyze data related to student progress on IEP objectives.
- Conduct fine motor and sensory profile evaluations, preparing detailed reports as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with IEP teams, teachers, and parents to ensure cohesive support and communication.
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure appropriate for school-based services.
- Experience working in an elementary school setting, preferably with students requiring fine motor and sensory processing support.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high-quality individualized care and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based at an elementary school in Aurora, Illinois.
- Full-time hours from 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Contract duration corresponds with the remainder of the school year (CSY), ending in early June.
Compensation
- Pay starts at $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
